Copyright & Takedown Policy

1. Our Commitment

Run on Realms (“ROR”), operated by Mobinsons Ventures Private Limited (“we”, “us”), respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users to do the same. This policy explains how copyright owners can request removal of content they believe infringes their rights, and our process for handling such requests.

This policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 §79 (intermediary safe harbor), the Copyright Act, 1957 §52A, the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and recognises principles aligned with the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) §512 for international users.

2. What Can Be Reported

You may submit a takedown request for any user-uploaded content on ROR you believe infringes your copyright, including:

• Profile photos / avatars
• Run photos, race photos, event photos
• Business event banners or logos
• Realm or squad cover images
• Posts in the community feed
• Any other media uploaded by users

3. How to Submit a Takedown Notice

Email your notice to [email protected]with the subject line “Copyright Takedown Notice”.

The notice must include all of the following to be actionable:

1. Your full legal name, address, phone, and email
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed (with proof of ownership: registration, publication date, or original file metadata)
3. Identification of the infringing material — URL or screenshot on ROR with enough detail for us to locate it
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on its behalf
6. Your physical or electronic signature

Incomplete notices may be rejected. Knowingly false notices may make you liable for damages under §512(f) of the DMCA and equivalent Indian law.

4. Our Response

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will:

• Acknowledge receipt within 24 hours
• Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content within 36 hours (per IT Rules 2021 §3(1)(d)) pending review
• Notify the user who uploaded the content of the takedown and the basis
• Inform you when action has been taken

5. Counter-Notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or that you have rights to post it (fair use, license, etc.), you may file a counter-notice. Email [email protected] with the subject “Copyright Counter-Notice” including:

1. Your full name, address, phone, email, ROR username
2. Identification of the removed content and where it appeared
3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed in error or misidentification
4. Your physical or electronic signature
5. Consent to jurisdiction of the courts at Kendujhar, Odisha (the registered office of Mobinsons Ventures Private Limited)

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the content after 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a lawsuit.

6. Repeat Infringers

Accounts subject to multiple substantiated copyright complaints will be terminated. We track all takedown notices and counter-notices and apply the following thresholds:

• First substantiated infringement: warning + content removal
• Second: 7-day account suspension
• Third or egregious: permanent account termination

7. Bad-Faith Notices

Submitting a knowingly false or bad-faith takedown notice (e.g., to harass a competitor, suppress legitimate criticism, or claim ownership of content you don't own) may make you liable for the damages caused, including legal fees and lost engagement.
